The Lanett Police Department was dispatch to the Cahaba Springs Apartments located off highway 50 in Lanett, Al in reference to a person stabbed and in need of medical assistance. Upon arrival Travis Green B/M 25 was found laying in between 2 apartment buildings with a stab wound to the chest. While investigating the crime scene officers located the weapon used in the crime, and develop a suspect. Witnesses stated that the offender ran to the apartment of Bobby Dorsey, the brother to the suspect. It was later determined that Bobby Oneal Billinsley 29, of Lanett, Al had stabbed Travis Lewis Green with a kitchen knife to the chest. Bobby Billingsley later turn himself in to the Lanett Police Authorities and was charged with manslaughter. Bobby Billingsley is now being held in  the Chambers County Jail. The Lanett Police, and Fire Department would like to think The Valley, West Point, Auburn, Opelika,Police Departments, also Chambers County Sheriff Departments,District Attorneys Office and Valley rescue Squad. And citizens of Lanett for cooperating and helping with information about the incident.
